Al-Zahraa press produces grape molasses from vineyards in the eastern Homs region, known for sweet, high-quality grapes.
Families take dried raisins to Al-Zahraa press, owned and managed by Abdulaziz Al-Yousef. Al-Hayat interviewed him about his experience since the press was founded in the 1990s. The aim is to absorb surplus production and market it to other governorates thanks to distinctive quality.
Production stages include drying grapes for about 25 days, then grinding, softening, soaking, filtering raisin water, cooking molasses, and packing to order under the name “Al-Zahraa”.
